Senior UX Researcher

As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Google, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the company's products are user-centric and deliver value to the users. The focus on the user is a fundamental principle at Google, and as a UXR, you will contribute to making this principle a reality. You will be part of a diverse team of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers, all working towards understanding and meeting the needs of the users. Your responsibilities will include conducting independent research using various methods such as lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments. By analyzing user behavior and gathering insights, you will collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a dynamic environment. Your role will also involve understanding and integrating technical and business requirements into the research process. In addition to conducting research, you will be responsible for advocating research findings to different stakeholders through written reports and presentations. Your insights and recommendations will have a direct impact on product development and will contribute to creating useful, usable, and delightful products for Google's users. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in an applied research setting. Experience with various research methods, such as usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys, will be essential. Additionally, a Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field is preferred.
