Job Title: Senior Travel Sales Consultant – Field Sales

Department: Sales – Travel & Tourism
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil nadu
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Head of Sales
Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: 20,000 to 45,000.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Travel Sales Consultant – Field Sales to drive business growth through on-ground sales activities. This role involves building relationships with B2B and B2C clients, promoting travel products, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate has strong travel industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to close deals in a field sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Sales Execution:
  • Identify and approach potential clients, including travel agencies, corporates, schools, and individual travellers.
  • Conduct client meetings, sales presentations, and destination briefings in person.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, travel fairs, and promotional events.Product Promotion & Sales:
  • Sell domestic and international travel packages, including flights, hotels, tours, group travel, and ancillary services.
  • Upsell premium services and tailor-made itineraries to meet client preferences.
  • Promote special offers, seasonal deals, and exclusive partner packages. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and repeat clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field clients, handling inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Provide after-sales support, including changes, updates, and feedback collection.
  • Target Achievement:
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly field sales targets.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the sales manager.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends.
  • Provide insights to improve product offerings and pricing strategies based on client feedback and field observations.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Work closely with in-house teams (ticketing, operations, product) to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with junior field sales staff and support their development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in the travel and tourism industry, preferably in a field sales role.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of travel products and services (B2B and B2C).
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and travel booking platforms.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with local/regional travel markets and customer segments.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in selling to schools, corporate clients, or tour operators.
