Responsibilities
- Patient care and preparation: Prepare patients for procedures by explaining instructions, ensuring their comfort, and monitoring their vital signs throughout the process.
- Equipment management: Set up, sterilize, calibrate, and maintain endoscopic equipment, performing minor troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
- Procedural assistance: Support physicians during procedures such as colonoscopies, endoscopies, and liver biopsies by providing necessary instruments, assisting with technical aspects, and helping with specimen collection.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, procedure details, and findings, adhering to confidentiality and hospital protocols.
- Patient education: Inform patients about pre-procedure instructions and post-procedure care.
- Collaboration and safety: Work with nurses and doctors to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow and strictly follow infection control and safety protocols.
