Senior Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer at GlobalLogic, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for the products and services offered. You will collaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information, translate technical concepts into easily understandable language, and develop comprehensive documentation across various formats such as paper, multimedia, web-based publications, and user sites. Your responsibilities will include creating, developing, planning, writing, and editing operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for different mediums. You will conduct interviews with subject matter experts, technical staff, and users to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is reflected in the documentation. Researching and translating complex technical information into user-friendly manuals, guides, and web-based documents for both technical and non-technical audiences will be a key aspect of your role. Furthermore, you will document engineering processes and specifications to maintain clarity and consistency, recommend and implement formatting styles that cater to the needs of technical and general users, and ensure all documentation adheres to company style guides and quality assurance procedures. Utilizing version control systems like Git and collaborative knowledge management platforms such as Confluence will be essential for effective documentation management. In addition to leveraging Markdown for content creation, possessing a good understanding of HTML and CSS for web-based documentation formatting and styling will be advantageous.
