Senior Team Member - Underwriting

As an Underwriter in the insurance industry, your primary responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments and underwriting proposals for Medical Term Plans. This involves evaluating the risks associated with each proposal and making informed decisions based on your findings. You will also be responsible for underwriting lapse cases and assessing point of sale alterations. In addition to risk assessment and underwriting tasks, you will be tasked with processing cases in the Straight Through Processing Quality Control Bucket. This will require attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing these cases. To excel in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation of financial knowledge and skills, as well as expertise in risk assessment. Problem-solving skills will be essential for navigating complex underwriting scenarios, and effective written and oral communication will be necessary for interacting with clients and colleagues. Additionally, your ability to assess medical information accurately will be crucial for evaluating proposals effectively. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as BSc, BDS, BAMS, BPharm, or MBBS, along with at least 5-6 years of underwriting experience in Medical and Term plans. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Life Insurance or Health insurance industry will also be required to ensure that you have the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in this role.,
