Administration and solving of all versions of Unix and Microsoft Windows Server OS. Working on the cloud, Azure & AWS, Code and Contribute towards Automation Responsibilities What will you do: Provide support for over 14,000 physical servers and handle AWS environments effectively. Play a crucial role in handling and supporting UNIX and Windows systems across production, test, and development environments. Oversee smooth operation of Linux and Windows systems (e.g., CentOS, Red Hat) Apply shell scripting (Bash, Korn, etc.) and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Python to streamline tasks and automate routine processes. Manage automation of daily operations using Puppet or Ansible. Administer user accounts, set permissions, and implement security policies optimally. Address and resolve issues related to Dell hardware and software, coordinating with vendors for support or replacements, as vital. Collaborate with application teams, database administrators, and network engineers to ensure flawless integration and comprehensive support. Document, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Confluence to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Use monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PagerDuty, and Thousand eyes to be responsible for system performance. Monitor AWS environments using CloudWatch. Keep management advised about ongoing production issues and guide projects using ticketing systems like JIRA and ServiceNow for timely resolution and progress tracking. Use DELL OME and HP OpenView tools to supervise and address alerts, ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently. Ensure robust system performance and availability and drive continuous improvement through automation and effective collaboration with diverse technical teams. Qualifications Experience as hands on System Administrator handling the multi-platform Linux & Windows Operating system. Excellent knowledge of administering operating systems and troubleshooting hardware. Should have thorough hands-on knowledge of installing, administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows OS as well as AWS. Hands-on experience with the complete patch management lifecycle, including testing, deploying, solve missing patches and patch issues, etc. Experience in supporting Dell and HP Servers. Familiarity with enterprise operations tools such as Zabbix, ServiceNow, Jira, and PagerDuty is helpful. Preferred certifications: RHCSA and AWS. Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible and Python, scripting. Must have strong solving skills through the execution and documentation of the resolution. Familiarity with Data Centre type remote hand support, including dispatching technicians. Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely with service partners and vendors. Excellent organisation skills, project tracking abilities, communications skills, and time management skills. Should be able to use all traditional office productivity tools (MS Office, Outlook, Windows/Mac, etc.) Familiarity with MS Office tools. Familiarity with ITIL standard methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of security principles. Bachelor s Degree preferred.
