Senior System Administrator

Are you an experienced Senior Systems Administrator with a strong background in core banking systems We are looking for a highly skilled professional to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and security of our clients IT infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical IT systems, including physical and virtual servers, cloud services, storage networks, and enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities: Server & Systems Management: - Manage and maintain physical and virtual server environments (Windows, Linux, AIX). - Ensure high availability and performance of MS Exchange, Office365, and Azure AD services. - Oversee system security, including OS hardening, patch management, and antivirus solutions. - Administer SAN, NAS, and HCI storage technologies. Cloud & Virtualization: - Manage cloud-based applications and services, including Office365 and Azure. - Administer VMware vSphere and SRM environments for virtualization and disaster recovery. Core Banking Systems & Migration Projects: - Support and maintain core banking systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime. - Work on banking system migrations, upgrades, and integrations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions during system changes. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to core banking applications. Backup & Recovery: - Implement and manage backup solutions (Veeam or similar) to ensure data integrity and timely recovery. - Perform disaster recovery testing and maintain RPO and RTO standards. Compliance & Security: - Ensure systems adhere to IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements. - Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and enforce IT controls. Project Management & Continuous Improvement: - Lead system integration projects and deployment of new solutions. - Research and recommend innovative technologies to improve system performance and reliability. - Drive automation and efficiency initiatives for system administration. Key Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - Microsoft MCP/MCSE, Office365, and VMware VCP certifications preferred. - Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or equivalent DBA certifications preferred. - ITIL certification and strong knowledge of service management principles. - 6+ years of experience in systems/network administration, preferably in banking or finance. - Hands-on experience with core banking systems, migrations, and upgrade projects. - Strong expertise in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and virtualized environments. - Proven experience with SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage technologies. - Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. - High level of initiative and innovation in IT solutions.
