Sr. Technical Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced **Application Support / Backend Support Engineer** with strong technical expertise in **Java-based applications**, **databases**, and **customer support**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring application stability, troubleshooting production issues, and providing high-quality technical support to customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Provide **L2/L3 application support** for Java-based web applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve **production issues** related to application performance, errors, and data inconsistencies.
• Work extensively with **MySQL and MongoDB** for data analysis, query optimization, and issue resolution.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor applications on **Apache Tomcat**.
• Analyze application logs and server logs to identify root causes.
• Coordinate with development teams for **bug fixes, enhancements, and deployments**.
• Handle **customer support tickets**, investigate reported issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform **database backups, restores, and data corrections** when required.
• Ensure adherence to **SLAs** and maintain proper incident documentation.
• Participate in **production releases, monitoring, and post-deployment validation**.
• Provide on-call or rotational support as required.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in **Application / Production Support**.
• Strong working knowledge of **Java** (debugging, logs, JVM basics).
• Proficiency in **MySQL** (complex queries, joins, indexing, performance tuning).
• Experience with **MongoDB** (CRUD operations, aggregation, indexing).
• Hands-on experience with **Apache Tomcat** (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting).
• Experience in handling **customer-facing support** and incident management.
• Familiarity with **Linux/Unix environments**.
• Experience with **log analysis tools** and monitoring systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with **Spring / Spring Boot** applications.
• Knowledge of **REST APIs** and API troubleshooting.
• Exposure to **cloud platforms** (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Understanding of **CI/CD pipelines**.
• Experience with **ITSM tools** (Jira, Freshdesk, etc.).
• Knowledge of **security and performance best practices**.
