Senior Storage Engineer

As a part of the VMware Cloud Foundation Division, you will be responsible for enabling organizations to securely run their business-critical and modern applications in a resilient and cost-efficient manner. With flagship products like VMware vSphere and industry-leading technologies such as vSAN, VLR, NSX, and Aria, you will contribute to providing customers with the scale and agility of a public cloud combined with the security and performance of a private cloud. Key Responsibilities: - Data Path Engineers: - Demonstrate deep expertise in C/C++ - Proficient in multithreading, IPC, socket, signals, etc. programming - Utilize experience in Unix-based systems and system-level programming - Apply knowledge of distributed programming, multi-processor systems, and kernel-level programming - Familiarity with storage protocols like SCSI and NVMe is a plus - Control Path Engineers: - Showcase proficiency in Java and Python - Develop SaaS applications using Java/J2EE and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks - Understand Kubernetes, containerization technologies, Golang, and C/C++ - Have knowledge of networking and application security concepts - UI Engineers: - Utilize experience with AngularJS, ReactJS for developing web applications - Proficient in Javascript, Typescript for web programming - Understand web application security and usability concepts - Quality Engineering: - Expertise in CICD and Test frameworks - Strong skills in Product testing, Test Design Specification creation, and Test Automation - Proficiency in Java/Python, design experience, and exposure to storage systems - Familiarity with Test Driven Development practices Qualifications Required: - Bachelors / Masters / Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering with 8 / 6 / 3 years of experience - Experience in building distributed systems applications - Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms In this role, you will be expected to deliver product features in a highly scalable distributed product. You will participate in all phases of the software development cycle, collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality code with tests, write design specifications, troubleshoot issues, communicate across functional teams, and demonstrate self-motivation and results orientation.,
