Senior SQA Engineer

As a User Experience (UX) Designer at Gallagher, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with product and development teams to create intuitive and effective design solutions that meet user needs. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience by translating requirements into user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes. By conducting usability tests and gathering feedback, you will refine designs to ensure seamless implementation by developers. Your responsibilities will also include participating in user research and analysis to validate design assumptions and improve the overall user experience. Maintaining design systems to ensure consistency across product interfaces will be crucial, as well as presenting design ideas to stakeholders and iterating based on feedback. Staying abreast of UX design best practices and emerging tools will be essential to your success in this role. To excel in this position, you should have at least 3 years of experience and a background in Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science, or related fields. A strong understanding of user experience design principles, wireframing, and prototyping is necessary, along with knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a seamless design-development handoff. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch is preferred. Critical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are key attributes for this role. Your desire to learn new design tools, techniques, and skills will further enhance your effectiveness. Strong listening skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are essential, as well as familiarity with usability testing and user research techniques.
