Job Description

Role Overview: You will be the Senior Environmental Health and Safety Officer at NTT DATA, where you will be an advanced subject matter expert responsible for consulting on and implementing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies. Your role will involve ensuring health and safety conditions in the work environment to prevent harm, injury, and illness. You will play a vital role in analyzing and designing controls to prevent occupational diseases and managing risks related to the environment and incident management. Key Responsibilities: - Create surveys and assessments to identify hazardous conditions affecting workers, property, the environment, and the general public, and develop measures to eliminate these hazards. - Conduct surveys and investigations of working conditions, determine causes of incidents, and recommend actions to prevent future accidents. - Provide consulting on steps to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing EHS matters. - Conduct risk assessments and audits to mitigate organizational liability against relevant laws and regulations. - Conduct new employee health and safety orientation and provide safety training and education programs for existing employees, including demonstrating the use of safety equipment. - Coordinate and attend committee meetings, network with external stakeholders, and develop emergency response plans and procedures. - Act as an evacuation marshal, fire marshal, and incident coordinator, and perform any other EHS activities required by management. Qualification Required: - Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and legal requirements governing environment, health, and safety in the workplace. - Demonstrated influencing ability, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. - Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to handle conflict situations effectively.
