Job Description

As a Senior SOX Analyst at TriNet, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the maintenance of the company's internal control over financial reporting framework. Reporting directly to the Manager, SOX, you will be responsible for executing periodic top-down, risk-based assessments to identify and quantify evolving business and IT risks. Your collaboration with control and process owners, as well as SOX Leadership, will be essential in designing and implementing new controls and enhancing existing controls to strengthen the Company's internal control over financial reporting. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to gain a deep understanding of business processes and leverage that understanding to maintain appropriate process documentation such as narratives and flowcharts. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing and updating the company's risk and control matrix, serving as a resource on internal control matters, and acting as a point of contact for both internal and external auditors to support control testing and the exchange of deliverables. To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of progressive work experience in corporate accounting, including prior experience testing and/or managing internal controls over financial reporting. Additionally, having 2+ years of progressive work experience in public accounting audit and assurance services is preferred. It is advantageous to possess certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or equivalent. Your ability to acquire new skills, apply them in complex environments, and demonstrate a solid understanding of SOX 404 and 302, SOC 1, COSO, and various risk assessment practices will be key to your success in this role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively presenting to peers and senior management. Experience with Oracle technology, interpersonal skills, collaboration skills, analysis abilities, control design skills, project management skills, and process re-engineering experience are all valuable assets for this position. You should demonstrate the capability to work independently with limited direction, exercise good judgment, and make clear decisions on project issues.
