Senior Software Engineering Manager

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Dell Technologies, you will have the opportunity to lead the activities of a software development function for deep stack software applications and new storage products. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs. Here's what you'll achieve in this role: - Lead and deliver on the strategic and operational objectives of the organization. - Actively engage in Scrum Events, collaborating with the team in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, standups, and retrospectives. Ensure products are delivered within budget, schedule, and quality guidelines. - Drive idea generation for new software products or the next version of an existing product. - Lead global teams and engage in talent mobility and talent development. To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications: Essential Requirements: - 12 to 15 years of relevant experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including feasibility analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and delivery. - Strong technical experience in Kubernetes, Linux, Distributed Systems, Storage Subsystems, File System, RAID, and SCSI/ISCSI. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python, or Go, along with practical experience using Git for version control and JIRA for issue tracking. Desirable Requirements: - 4-5 years of managerial experience and a background in the storage domain, including SAN, NAS, FCOE, Disk Drivers, Firmware/BIOS, and virtualization technologies. - Experience in developing software for software-defined infrastructure, including hybrid cloud, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments.
