Senior Software Engineer- SAP BODS

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and support ETL/ELT solutions using SAP Data Services (BODS) 4.2/4.3.

Automate and optimize data workflows across structured and semi-structured data sources.

Scripting, data transformation, and integration with external APIs or services.

Monitor, execute, and schedule jobs through Data Services Management Console.

Write detailed technical design specifications and test documentation.

Follow migration processes to move ETL objects across dev, QA, staging, and production environments.

Work with relational databases such as Snowflake, Salesforce, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, and Oracle.

Knowledge of salesforce integration is mandatory.

Develop and optimize SQL queries for high-volume data processing.

Handle secure data exchanges using FTP/SFTP and file-based integrations.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Data Services (BODS) development

and support.

Proficiency in BODS versions 4.2 and 4.3, including job development, scheduling, and performance tuning.

Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.

Experience working with Snowflake, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, and Oracle databases.

Skilled in writing technical specifications and test plans.

Familiarity with Data Services Management Console for job monitoring.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a BODS developer or engineer, with a strong understanding

of SAP BusinessObjects Data Services.

Proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with hands-on experience working with relational databases

Experience with Snowflake

Experience data modeling, schema design, and data profiling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Experience with other SAP products or technologies (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP BW) is a plus.

SAP certifications related to data integration or BODS are desirable but not required.

Experience with Python scripting

Cloud native scripting, Java experience

Google Cloud services experience.

Cloud integration using native connectors.
