We are looking for a
Senior Software Engineer (SSE)
with strong hands-on experience in building microservices-based applications using Python
and FastAPI
, deploying them on AWS
using Docker
, Kubernetes
, and Knative
. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and distributed systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team that owns its services end-to-end from design and development to deployment and monitoring. What would you do - Design, develop, and deploy microservices using
Python
(preferably with FastAPI
) in a cloud-native environment. - Containerize applications using
Docker
and orchestrate them using Kubernetes
and Knative
. - Implement and maintain high-quality, testable, and scalable code with a focus on performance and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineers to implement
CI/CD pipelines
and enforce coding standards. - Leverage
AWS
services (especially Aurora
, Postgres
, and DynamoDB
) for backend storage and compute. - Integrate observability and monitoring tools (such as
Prometheus
and Grafana
) to ensure system health. - Ensure secure coding practices by using tools like
Sonar
, Snyk
, and GitHub Enterprise
. - Package and publish internal Python libraries using
Poetry
and Artifactory
. - Follow best practices in
Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
and microservice architecture. - Collaborate with team members in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Who you are/ What we expect: -
5 8 years
of professional experience in backend development using Python
. - Strong experience building RESTful APIs using
FastAPI
or similar frameworks. - Hands-on experience with
AWS
, including services like Aurora (Postgres)
and DynamoDB
. - Proficient in
Docker
, Kubernetes
, and Knative
( Knative experience is mandatory
). - Familiar with
Istio
or other service mesh
technologies. - Solid understanding of
CI/CD
, Git workflows, and tools like GitHub Enterprise
, Sonar
, and Snyk
. - Experience packaging Python libraries using
Poetry
and publishing them to Artifactory
. - Exposure to observability stacks like
Grafana
, Prometheus
, and log monitoring tools. - Comfortable working in Agile development environments and collaborating across distributed teams.
- Hands-on experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
tools - Terraform
and AWS CDK
.
The icing on the cake: Familiarity with multi-tenant architecture
and best practices. Experience running Jupyter notebooks in containerized environments. Unsure
