To be successful in this role, you should have experience with: - End-to-end software development lifecycle - Software development methodologies such as waterfall and agile - Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques, and services within IT - Software development using Java (Servlets, JSPs, Javascript), J2EE Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), Databases (Oracle/DB2/SQL/IMS DEDB), Webservices (WSDL, SOAP & REST), XML & XML Java Parsers (xsd, dtd), Application servers (JBoss, Tomcat), and Version Control Software (Clearcase/SVN/CVS/Git). Responsible for interacting with staff across the Business and IT functions including IT Architects, Service Managers, Technology Project Managers, Business Change Managers, SI Partners, 3rd parties, GTS, and GTIS. Provide input to the Product/Project Manager(s) to identify and engage the engineering resources needed for project success. Additionally, provide input to the technical development approach of a project, balancing cost, time, quality, and risk. Key critical skills relevant for success in this role may include risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is based out of Pune. Purpose of the role: Design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. Accountabilities: - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing through peer collaboration and code reviews. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence. - Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design and reliability.
