What Youll Do

Take a leadership role in extending team charter to include an API Catalog, contributing to cross-team features alongside the API Gateway.
Design, develop, and optimize backend systems using Java, effectively contributing to API ecosystem improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on features that enhance discovery, observability, and governance within our API ecosystem.
Utilize existing telemetry data and cutting-edge technologies, like AI, to achieve innovative solutions in API management.
Promote best practices and lead efforts to ensure high standards in software quality, performance, and scalability.
Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Your Opportunity

Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a deep understanding of the API ecosystem.
Proficient in Java backend with API development.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API cataloging methodologies.
Ability to leverage telemetry data for automated discovery and observability enhancements.
Excellent collaboration abilities and leadership skills in cross-functional environments.

Bonus Points

Contribution to open-source projects.
Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
Familiarity with OpenAPI Specifications (OAS) and API Contracts.
