Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support for electrical and automation systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Assist customers with system configuration and optimization. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on electrical and automation equipment. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Repair or replace faulty components and ensure systems are back in working order promptly. Installation and Commissioning: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical and automation systems. Ensure systems are installed correctly and meet operational specifications. Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers. Provide timely updates and reports to customers regarding service activities. Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and customer communications. Prepare service reports and documentation as required by company standards. Update technical documentation and manuals as necessary. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with advancements in electrical and automation technologies. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Provide feedback to the product development team based on field experiences. Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor junior service engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelors degree/diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a service engineering role, preferably in the electrical and automation industry. Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI, and other automation technologies. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of electrical and automation systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software related to electrical and automation systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the marine, oil and gas, or industrial automation sectors. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in electrical and automation systems. Working Conditions: Full-time position with the requirement for on-site visits to customer locations. Frequent travel may be required, including international trips. Availability for emergency call-outs and off-hours support as needed.
