Role & responsibilities

Cisco HyperFlex Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and manage

  Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure

  clusters supporting hospital operations
• Perform HyperFlex cluster administration including node management, storage policies, and resource allocation
• Configure and optimize

  HyperFlex Data Platform

  for healthcare workload requirements
• Implement HyperFlex disaster recovery and data protection strategies
• Monitor HyperFlex cluster health, performance metrics, and capacity utilization
• Manage HyperFlex fabric interconnect configurations and network integration
• Perform HyperFlex software upgrades, patches, and firmware updates
• Troubleshoot HyperFlex hardware and software issues with Cisco TAC support

Citrix VDI Infrastructure

• Design and manage comprehensive

  Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

  supporting 300+ healthcare users
• Deploy and configure

  Citrix XenDesktop/DaaS

  environments for clinical and administrative staff
• Manage

  Citrix Cloud

  services and on-premises Citrix infrastructure
• Configure

  Citrix Virtual Apps

  (XenApp) for application delivery and published applications
• Implement

  Citrix StoreFront

  and

  Citrix Gateway

  for secure remote access
• Optimize Citrix policies, user profiles, and session management for healthcare workflows
• Monitor Citrix infrastructure performance and user experience metrics
• Manage Citrix licensing, user assignments, and resource pools

Virtualization Platform Administration

• Administer

  VMware vSphere

  infrastructure integrated with HyperFlex platform
• Manage virtual machine lifecycle including provisioning, migration, and decommissioning
• Implement and maintain

  vCenter Server

  configurations and cluster management
• Configure

  VMware HA, DRS, and vMotion

  for high availability and load balancing
• Manage virtual machine templates, snapshots, and backup integrations
• Optimize VM resource allocation and performance tuning for healthcare applications

Data Center Operations

• Ensure 24/7 availability of critical compute infrastructure supporting healthcare systems
• Implement and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Perform capacity planning and resource optimization for growing healthcare demands
• Coordinate planned maintenance windows with minimal impact to clinical operations
• Monitor data center environmental conditions and infrastructure dependencies
• Manage compute resource allocation for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical systems

Performance and Optimization

• Conduct regular performance analysis and capacity planning for compute resources
• Implement monitoring solutions for proactive identification of performance issues
• Optimize storage performance within HyperFlex infrastructure for healthcare workloads
• Tune Citrix policies and configurations for optimal user experience
• Analyze resource utilization patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements
• Implement automation scripts for routine maintenance and monitoring tasks

Preferred candidate profile

Experience & Education

• 7-10 years

  of hands-on experience in enterprise compute infrastructure management
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing mission-critical 24/7 environments

Essential Cisco HyperFlex Skills

HyperFlex Platform Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with

  Cisco HyperFlex

  deployment, configuration, and management
• Knowledge of HyperFlex architecture including fabric interconnects, compute nodes, and storage
• Experience with

  HyperFlex Data Platform

  administration and storage policies
• Understanding of HyperFlex integration with VMware vSphere and Citrix environments
• Proficiency in HyperFlex Installer and HyperFlex Connect management interface

Storage and Data Management:

• Experience with hyperconverged storage concepts and distributed storage systems
• Knowledge of data deduplication, compression, and storage optimization techniques
• Understanding of snapshot management and data protection strategies
• Experience with storage performance monitoring and troubleshooting

Essential Citrix VDI Skills

Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure:

• Extensive experience with

  Citrix XenDesktop/Virtual Apps and Desktops

  (7.x or Cloud service)
• Hands-on experience with

  Citrix Studio, Director, and Citrix Cloud

  management consoles
• Proficiency in

  Citrix Virtual Apps

  (XenApp) for application publishing and delivery
• Experience with

  Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)

  or

  Machine Creation Services (MCS)

Citrix Access and Security:

• Knowledge of

  Citrix Gateway

  (NetScaler Gateway) for secure remote access
• Experience with

  Citrix StoreFront

  deployment and configuration
• Understanding of Citrix policies, user profile management, and session sharing
• Familiarity with Citrix security best practices and healthcare compliance requirements

Virtualization and Infrastructure Skills

• VMware vSphere:

  Advanced administration including vCenter, ESXi, and cluster management

• Storage Technologies:

  SAN, NAS, and hyperconverged storage systems

• Backup Solutions:

  Veeam, Commvault, or similar enterprise backup platforms

• Monitoring Tools:

  vRealize Operations, Citrix Analytics, or similar infrastructure monitoring

• Scripting:

  PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Python for automation and management tasks
