Senior SAP Basis Consultant

As a Senior SAP Basis Consultant with 7+ years of relevant experience, your primary responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining various SAP systems such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, and Solution Manager. You will be tasked with performing system copies, migrations, patches, upgrades, and kernel updates. Monitoring SAP system performance to optimize efficiency and taking necessary actions to enhance performance will be crucial. Your role will involve managing SAP transports and coordinating changes across different environments. Ensuring the implementation of system backups, disaster recovery processes, and conducting regular tests will be essential. Applying SAP Notes, implementing OSS solutions, and troubleshooting and resolving SAP Basis-related issues including system failures, job errors, and connectivity problems will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to address issues and enhance system stability will be required. Maintaining system documentation, creating standard operating procedures, and supporting audit and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to company and SAP security guidelines are vital aspects of the role. To excel in this position, you should possess hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC, along with expertise in SAP system migrations and upgrades. Familiarity with SAP HANA database and/or Oracle/SQL Server databases, as well as experience in managing SAP in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, will be beneficial. Your skills should include a strong understanding of SAP architecture and Basis components, proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, and solid knowledge of database administration and troubleshooting. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with good communication skills enabling effective collaboration both independently and within a team, will be essential for success in this role.,
