Senior Sales Engineer (Analytical instruments)

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline; cultivate leads and convert them into successful sales.
• Consistently achieve sales targets both overall and for specific product lines within the allocated territory.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships, providing attentive support throughout the sales cycle.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify growth opportunities and understand industry trends, including competitor analysis.
• Support the marketing and product teams in organizing seminars, training sessions, exhibitions, and product launches.
• Prepare regular sales reports, territory forecasts, and implement effective sales strategies tailored to your market.
• Utilize CRM systems to track product details efficiently and customer information.
• Oversee the full sales process, including payment follow-up and collection.
• Plan monthly travel schedules and provide daily activity updates to management.
• Collaborate with technical and service teams to resolve client queries promptly.
• Travel frequently within your territory to ensure high-touch customer engagement.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2 to 6 years in a relevant field.
• Prior experience in sales of Microscopy, Materials Testing, or Analytical Instrumentation products.
• Exposure to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or materials science sectors.
• Exceptional communication and presentation proficiency.
• In-depth technical and product knowledge relating to Microscopes and Analytical Test Instruments.
• Openness to extensive travel across the assigned region.
• Energetic team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

Qualification:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related technical domain.
• MBA qualification is considered an advantage.
