In this role at Cvent, you will have the opportunity to work on Internet scale applications, focusing on performance, reliability, scalability, and security from the outset. Your responsibilities will include creating user-friendly web applications using rich client-side and REST server-side code. You will be involved in implementing Microservices Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) in real-world applications. Additionally, you will gain exposure to various database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL while collaborating with top engineers in the industry on Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work on Internet scale applications with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and security - Develop intuitive web applications using rich client-side and REST server-side code - Implement Microservices, SOA, and EDA in real-world applications - Collaborate with industry-leading engineers on SaaS applications - Gain experience with various database technologies **Qualifications Required:** - 4 to 7 years of Software Development experience - Strong troubleshooting skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment - Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Node JS - Familiarity with MVC and Web forms Framework - Experience contributing to architecture and design, including Design Patterns and Non-Functional Requirements (Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Security) - Exposure to PostgreSQL or related databases is a plus - Knowledge of Queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS **Preferred Skills:** - Proficiency in RESTful Web Services and API development using Ruby on Rails or Node JS frameworks - Full stack development experience, covering front-end user interfaces to backend systems - Familiarity with JavaScript, React JS/TypeScript, and Graph Query Language (GQL) - Experience with Elasticsearch or Solr - Knowledge of Cloud Computing platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Cloud In this role at Cvent, you will have the opportunity to work on Internet scale applications, focusing on performance, reliability, scalability, and security from the outset.
