Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide continuous and high-quality medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Perform initial assessment, develop treatment plans, and manage acute conditions under the supervision of consultants.
Monitor patients on ventilators, life support, and other critical interventions.
Manage emergencies like sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, trauma, and shock according to critical care protocols.
Perform critical care procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasound (if trained).
Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nurses, and technicians for effective patient management.
Maintain comprehensive medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Participate in ICU rounds, clinical audits, and academic sessions such as journal clubs and CMEs.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ICU protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

MBBS with MD/DNB in Internal Medicine / Anaesthesiology / Pulmonology or equivalent qualification.
1 to 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
Certification in BLS and ACLS (FCCS or IDCCM preferred).
Ability to manage high-pressure situations with sound clinical judgment.
Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
