Senior Research Director

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Client Partnership

• Set the strategic direction for market research within the organization, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Represent the organization as a thought leader in market research at industry events, conferences, and publications.
• Demonstrate success in building and managing strong client relationships, exceeding expectations, and driving repeat business.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across departments (sales, marketing, strategy) to translate business needs into actionable research solutions and insights.
• Manage and optimize research budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource efficiency.

Business Growth and P&L Ownership

• Take full

  P&L responsibility

• Develop and execute the annual

  business growth plan

  , including client acquisition, key account expansion, and new revenue streams.
• Work closely with leadership to define

  sales targets, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts

• Build strategic partnerships and identify new opportunities in emerging sectors and markets to broaden the client base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design

• Monitor business performance metrics, client satisfaction, and delivery quality to ensure sustainable growth.

Conceptualize and Design Studies

• Conceptualize and design complex research studies, addressing challenging research questions and incorporating innovative methodologies.
• Lead the development and application of advanced data analysis techniques, leveraging multiple frameworks and tools.
• Guide the team on advanced statistical techniques (e.g., regression, factor analysis, conjoint analysis, MaxDiff, etc.).
• Develop compelling and impactful presentations and reports that effectively communicate insights to varied audiences.

Mentoring and Organizational Development

• Build and manage a high-performing research and client management team, fostering mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
• Lead internal workshops and training sessions to disseminate research best practices and elevate research capabilities across the organization.

Prerequisites

• Masters degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in primary market research with proven P&L management and business development responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience with standard quantitative studies (CSAT, NPS, Brand Tracks, Concept Testing, etc.).
• Experience with advanced research design (Conjoint, MaxDiff, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python preferred).
• Strong analytical, strategic, and storytelling skills with outstanding PowerPoint capabilities.
• Proven leadership, client management, and interpersonal communication skills.
