Senior QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Execute QA efforts

  across Access Points, Controllers, Cloud, On-Prem, and IoT projects, from feature inception to production release, ensuring end-to-end quality coverage.

• Optimize regression test plans

  for solution-centric execution to maximize efficiency, reduce redundancy, and ensure comprehensive coverage of integrated system use cases.

• Embrace AI-driven testing approaches

  to modernize QA processes, improve product quality, and enhance efficiency across automation, analytics, and defect prediction.
• Review

  Feature Requests (FR/PRED)

  ,

  Functional Specs (FS)

  , and

  High-Level Designs (HLD)

  for testability and completeness.
• Prepare, review, and own comprehensive test plans, ensuring adequate coverage for functional, scale, regression, and solution testing.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance

  automation frameworks

  (preferably in Python) to ensure continuous quality.
• Perform in-depth debugging and root cause analysis for defects across multiple system layers (UI, backend, network protocols).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality gates are met in CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in performance and scalability testing to validate system behavior under stress.
• Drive test data preparation, environment setup, and tool creation for effective test execution.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review their work to ensure quality and consistency.

Required Qualifications

• Education:

  BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, or Networking.

• Experience:

  3+ years in software quality assurance with

  hands-on Access Point (AP) device testing and integration in a controller-based environment

  , including functional, scale, and interoperability validation.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in

  Python

  scripting for automation and data validation.
• Solid understanding of

  networking concepts

  , Wi-Fi protocols, TCP/IP stack, and authentication systems (e.g., RADIUS, AAA).
• Hands-on experience with QA tools like

  packet analyzers

  (e.g., Wireshark),

  Selenium

  ,

  PyTest

  ,

  JMeter

  ,

  Postman

  , or equivalent.
• Practical usage of

  Jira

  for defect tracking and

  TestLink

  (or similar) for test management.
• Knowledge of

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, GCP) and

  containerized deployments

  (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with

  Elasticsearch, Kibana

  , and API testing.
• Proficiency in debugging logs, packet captures, and system traces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IoT device testing and integration.
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven QA approaches.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
