About the Role

Senior QA Automation & Performance Test Engineer

This role demands strong Retail POS domain knowledge, robust automation framework experience, and deep expertise in performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality assurance for Retail, POS, Fulfillment, and Supply Chain applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and resilience.
  
• Execute both manual and automation testing across multiple platforms including UI, functional, regression, and system testing.
  
• Develop, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, TestNG, HP UFT, or similar tools.
  
• Define test strategies, detailed test plans, and comprehensive test cases ensuring full coverage across modules and integrations.
  
• Build and manage CI/CD test pipelines integrating automation into DevOps workflows for continuous testing and reporting.
  
• Conduct data validation using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Excel for backend, data migration, and report-level verification.
  
• Validate complex data flows between retail systems (POS, WMS, ERP, OMS, Fulfillment, and Digital Commerce) ensuring data integrity.
  
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools for intelligent test case generation, prioritization, and defect prediction.
  
• Drive process improvements to reduce production slippages, improve delivery accuracy, and strengthen release stability.
  
• Monitor system performance and quality KPIs, proactively identifying risks and areas for improvement.
  
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure early defect detection and root cause analysis.
  
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to building a culture of test automation and continuous quality.
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
  
• 7+ years of QA experience in enterprise-grade applications with a strong focus on Retail, POS systems.
  
• Proven expertise in functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
  
• Proficiency in automation tools – Selenium, Appium, TestNG, HP UFT, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for test automation (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
  
• Strong working knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and test management tools (Azure TFS, JIRA, ALM).
  
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Excel-based validation and reporting.
  
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner (good to have).
  
• Strong understanding of retail business processes, POS integrations, and data synchronization across enterprise systems.
  
• Hands-on experience testing retail systems (Oracle Retail ORPOS, SIM preferred).
  
• Knowledge or practical usage of AI/ML-driven testing for test optimization, defect prediction, and automation intelligence.
  
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous delivery pipelines.
