Senior Python Developer

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Python programming and data engineering concepts. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with DataHub/Acryl Data, building custom data connectors, optimizing code for performance, and collaborating effectively across teams. This role requires deep technical capability, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain data connectors for DataHub/Acryl Data.
• Write efficient, clean, and scalable Python code for data integration and ETL workflows.
• Optimize existing code and participate in detailed code reviews.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in connectors and data pipelines.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  

Required Skills

• Strong Python Programming skills (beyond scripting experience).
• Experience with DataHub or Acryl Data and building custom connectors.
• Proficiency in ETL pipelines, data engineering concepts, and data integration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of code performance optimization and best practices.
• Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and analyzing performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with modern data platforms or metadata management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and deployment pipelines.
