Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Purchase Executive / Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in global and indigenous procurement, vendor development, and techno-commercial negotiations, with the ability to work across engineering and operations groups to ensure timely and quality procurement in line with AS9100 standards.
* Handle IMM purchases (Mechanical & Electrical).
* Source and develop vendors (global & indigenous).
* Coordinate with Engineering and Operations teams for procurement needs.
* Maintain accurate purchase records as per AS9100 standards.
* Manage negotiations, ordering, and follow-up until delivery.
* Handle imports/exports documentation (LC/ILC, logistics).
* Support in review meetings, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with BOM, material specifications, and part numbers.
* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6–7 years experience, OR
BE in Mechanical/Electrical with 5–6 years experience.
* Strong purchase skills (mechanical & electrical).
* Ability to read and interpret BOMs, material specs, and part numbers.
* Good communication, commercial negotiation & techno-commercial knowledge.
* Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge desirable.
* Knowledge of local market purchase sources.
* Familiarity with import/export procedures and logistics.
* Age: 34–38 years.
* Must own a two-wheeler (essential for local travel).
* Willingness to travel within Bangalore and outstation as required.
* Position type: Permanent.
