Senior Project Coordinator - Electrical Projects

The Senior Project Coordinator for Electrical Projects at Techno Quest will play a critical role in assisting Project Managers in the planning, execution, and successful completion of diverse electrical projects. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with a strong understanding of electrical systems and project management principles. The Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing schedules, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication among all project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

• Assist Project Managers in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate project schedules, resources (personnel, materials, equipment), and communications among internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients to understand and define project requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring client needs are met as the project evolves.
• Help prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial compliance.

Project Execution & Monitoring:

• Monitor daily project progress, identify potential risks, and assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
• Oversee project procurement activities, ensuring materials and equipment are acquired efficiently.
• Act as a central point of contact for project-related communications, providing regular updates to all stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, logs (e.g., submittal log, RFI log), and as-built documentation.
• Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, performance metrics, and financial summaries to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.

Quality & Safety Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations (NESC/OSHA), and Techno Quest's HSE policies.
• Assist in implementing and coordinating quality control procedures on-site.
• Drive a safety-first mindset among all project team members and enforce safety protocols.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Address field deviations and ensure all changes are documented and communicated appropriately.
• Provide support to the site supervisory teams for smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, specifically within electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, systems (HV/LV), and construction processes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in electrical construction.
• Detail-oriented and proactive with a strong commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with specific electrical systems relevant to Techno Quest's operations (e.g., solar, wind, automation, substations).
• Familiarity with the Surat and Gujarat market for electrical projects.
