Job Description

Role : Senior Program Manager / Lead Program Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery governance for a portfolio of programs across India and occasionally other geographies.
  • Line-manage Delivery Managers and Project Managers; mentor them on delivery, stakeholder management, and people performance.
  • Define and enforce delivery frameworks, SLAs, KPIs and program-level dashboards; run regular program health reviews.
  • Align clients, architects, sales/pre-sales and business stakeholders on scope, priorities and delivery approach.
  • Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation planning and timely escalations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of Agile, hybrid and enterprise delivery practices; run retrospectives and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Provide credible technical oversightreview high-level architecture, unblock technical delivery issues, and support design trade-offs.
  • Support resource planning, capacity management and career development for the India delivery organization.
  • Contribute to proposal/estimation and transition planning when required.

Required skills & experience:

  • 2025 years

    in IT with significant experience in program/delivery leadership managing managers and large teams.
  • Strong

    technical acumen and delivery know-how

    —comfortable with architecture discussions and technical trade-offs.
  • Proven track record leading large, multi-squad programs (distributed, cross-functional teams).
  • Deep experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), hybrid delivery models and governance.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and experience communicating at CXO/executive level.
  • Strong people management: mentoring, performance management and developing mid-level managers.
  • Comfortable working with architects, DevOps, QA and data teams to ensure end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales or RFP responses is a plus.
  • Education: Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent technical degree preferred.
