Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Java Project Manager who started their career as a Java Developer and has grown into a leadership role managing complex, enterprise-grade software projects. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices , and experience deploying applications using Cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes . This is a client-facing role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Java-based software projects. Drive execution across development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams. Engage directly with clients and stakeholders for requirement gathering, updates, and escalations. Own project planning, sprint execution, scope, risk management, and reporting. Guide and review architecture and implementation of solutions built using Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes . Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery with a focus on scalability and performance. Use Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps for sprint management and tracking. Maintain clear documentation and status dashboards for internal and external reporting. Required Skills & Experience: 12-18 years of IT experience with a strong background in Java development . Proven experience in managing enterprise projects in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and deployment strategies. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes . Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels. Leadership and mentoring experience in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: PMP / CSM / PRINCE2 certification (preferred). Exposure to IT services or consulting environments. Experience managing distributed/offshore teams.
