Senior Production Associate (Welder)

Your Role:

• Prioritize safety above all else by maintaining a rigorous adherence to safety standards and processes, ensuring that safety risks and issues are identified, reported, and addressed immediately.
• Understand and apply basic principles of Gouging & Welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW)
• Follow methods, standards, and work instructions to:
• Weld turbines and generators components by applying appropriate welding techniques: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Shielding Metal Arc (SMAW) and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes.
• Set up and operate welding equipment: select appropriate materials, prep work piece in accordance with part geometry, properties of material and scope of welding & repair Inspect completed welds to determine weld quality.
• Embrace a culture of respect, valuing inclusive teams and diverse perspectives to direct and train others as assigned, enabling the flow of information by inviting participation and responding productively.
• Approach daily work with continuous improvement in mind, working to continuously develop and improve department practices to reduce cycle time, improve machine availability and efficiency, and lower operating costs.
• Operate grinding machine to prepare chamfering of parts.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Heavy Fabrication
• Qualified in GMAW-Must , GTAW, SMAW, SAW
• Must have Heavy fabrication experience, capable perform Groove welds (T Joints, Knuckle, Corner& Butt joints for thickness 40 mm above.
• Understanding of WPS/PQR/WPQ/WELD BOOK.

Desired Qualifications:

• Education: ITI welder / Diploma
• Communication, people management Skills.
