Senior Power BI Developer

As a Senior BI Developer, your role will involve leading the development, optimization, and lifecycle management of semantic models within Microsoft Fabric. You will design and build scalable, enterprise-level analytical solutions using Power BI and Denodo as core data integration platforms. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, you will translate business needs into robust semantic models ensuring incorporation of business-friendly terminology and metrics. Integrating disparate data sources using best practices in data modeling, DAX, and SQL will be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and complex DAX calculations to enable deep analysis and data-driven decisions. Implementing row-level and object-level security in Power BI semantic models for robust enterprise data governance will also be part of your duties. Managing the lifecycle of Fabric semantic models, including versioning, upgrades, and migration as Microsoft changes default semantic model behavior, will be crucial. You will also guide enterprise reporting architecture, mentor junior BI developers, and champion adoption of advanced analytics technologies in data-driven projects. - Lead development, optimization, and lifecycle management of semantic models within Microsoft Fabric. - Design and build scalable, enterprise-level analytical solutions using Power BI and Denodo. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into robust semantic models. - Integrate disparate data sources using best practices in data modeling, DAX, and SQL. - Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and complex DAX calculations. - Implement row-level and object-level security in Power BI semantic models for robust enterprise data governance. - Manage lifecycle of Fabric semantic models including versioning, upgrades, and migration. - Guide enterprise reporting architecture, mentor junior BI developers, and champion adoption of advanced analytics technologies. - 10-12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise BI/reporting with proven expertise in Power BI development, advanced DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling. - Extensive experience integrating and virtualizing data sources using the Denodo platform. - Deep understanding of Microsoft Fabric analytics environment and hands-on experience developing semantic models. - Strong proficiency in SQL in Power BI, Denodo, and Microsoft Fabric contexts. - Proven track record designing secure, scalable BI solutions for large/complex data. - Familiarity with application lifecycle management, including CI/CD for Power BI assets. - Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills. In addition to the required skills and experience, it would be nice to have experience with Python for BI/data engineering tasks, exposure to additional tools such as Redshift, Spotfire, or other advanced visualization platforms, and certifications like Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer or similar.,
