Role Overview: As a Senior Vibration Engineer at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the integrity and reliability of BP's assets by focusing on vibration and condition-based monitoring. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and cost-effectiveness of operations while adhering to the highest industry standards and practices. You will collaborate with various teams to execute activities safely, manage risks associated with equipment failure due to vibration, and foster a cost-competitive environment to enhance business margins. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct and review quantitative assessments to evaluate the risk of failure due to vibration in main lines, small-bore connections, and thermowells. - Investigate potential vibration issues identified during inspections and perform qualitative assessments as needed. - Develop comprehensive vibration management plans, including scheduling annual and ad hoc surveys. - Perform critical vibration assessments on operational plants and provide expert advice on assessment results. - Prepare work packs aligning with client policies and procedures. - Analyze survey and monitoring data, generate technical reports, and coordinate necessary corrective actions for vibration anomalies. - Oversee vibration contractors, provide briefings to third parties, recommend necessary equipment, and manage equipment inventory. - Mentor junior staff, update work procedures, and act as the Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for vibration-related issues at BP. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical/structural engineering or equivalent discipline. - 10+ years of experience specifically in field vibration measurements (pipework or machinery). - Knowledge of EI guidelines (AVIFF) and its Technical modules, fatigue assessment, pipework vibration, equipment vibration management, Thermowell Resonance, and common causes of vibration in the oil/gas sector. - Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively in English, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and reading PID, ISO, Hook-Up Drawings.
