You will deliver Rotating Equipment Engineering support to reduce risk and provide operations support by closely collaborating with the Site and other squads. Your responsibilities will include providing rotating equipment engineering expertise to other teams by performing and reviewing complex or non-routine mechanical engineering calculations and analyses. Additionally, you will collaborate with regions and OEMs/vendors to deliver global REE programs and provide expertise to MoCs, brownfield projects, modifications, hazard identification, risk assessment processes, incident investigations, and production deferral defect investigations. Your role will involve ensuring alignment of inspection, testing, maintenance, and condition monitoring tasks with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies. You will develop and update the technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback, conduct Failure Mode Effect Analysis, recommend spares and material inventory levels, and perform reliability analysis for mechanical equipment using surveillance, maintenance, and condition monitoring data. As part of your responsibilities, you will provide REE expertise to the delivery of regional actions, lead the resolution of complex technical issues, maintain relevant engineering processes and tools for the field, and ensure compliance with agreed regional Standards/Processes. To be successful in this role, you must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, along with 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industries. You must have significant experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance, and operation of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) in oil & gas processing facilities. Moreover, you should have a good knowledge of governing codes, industry standards, and local laws relevant to REE, as well as a proven track record in the practical application of engineering standards and practices for mechanical equipment. Preferred qualifications include being a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer, experience working as part of a remote team, expertise in risk management and contractor performance management, and familiarity with rotating equipment design, diagnostics, fixing, repair, condition supervising methods, overhauls, and repairs. Additionally, you should be able to engage across teams and functions to deliver engineering improvements centrally. In this role, you will work with Production & Refining Teams, Maintenance Engineering, Operations personnel, and Multi-discipline Central and Asset Teams. The position requires working hours based on India/UK shift to support Business Partners, with up to 10% travel expected.
