Senior Perceived Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Contribution to planning

• Develop craftsmanship audit & benchmarking strategies and roadmap for Passanger vehicle for meeting perceived quality targets, future trend assessment. Adhering Project Timelines by follow up with all stakeholders for PQ deliverables.
• Plan for scheduled project milestones, optical quality reviews, gateway deliverables compliance monitoring review system. Must meet Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) targets.
• Budget estimation for PQ support activities, physical properties and new technologies development.

2. Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)

• Bench marking of vehicles for Craftsmanship & Functional Assessments. Conduct & update craftsmanship glide path to reflect the new competitors
• Target setting for gap and flushness report, craftsmanship demerits, design PQ elements
• 2D data & sectional data. (Key module utilisation: Part design & Geometric Surface design) TCUA (Team Centre) PLM utilisation is desirable
• Review problem solving of critical quality issues leading to identification of root cause and design standards to prevent recurrence.
• Conducting OQ Reviews on CAS/ CAD data with Engineering teams & other departments, keeping a track on the progress. 'Escalation' of the issues found during the OQ process. Preparing 3D / 2D Cad section for all interface as per section book.
• Design and Surfacing data sheet Sign-off with Mfg., Tool maker, Supplier, Line builder & Plant Quality to resolve interface issues.
• Development of local Class A-Surface models / schemes as required for interface points only to support OQ.
• Support the team to achieve DVA sign off with multiple agencies before DR3 milestone - Conduct SRM audit and suggest possible solutions. Support for TRM build and data management. Conduct TRM physical audit and solve the observed issues.
• Table top assessment for all new components at various stages, i.e. T0, T1, T2, T3 & T4. Participate and contribute in BLUE BUCK Trials.
• Plan & communicate E Cube build events and communicate all Fit to Nominal feedbacks to all respective agencies.
• Conduct craftmanship audit of Proto built vehicle till SOP.
• Supply the craftsmanship audit report & issue tracker.
• PQ Assessment of all mockup models like lamps, cockpit, etc.
