Senior Package Engineer

Key Accountabilities

• Review contract Purchase Orders (PO), understand scope of work, project objectives, and KPIs.
  
• Follow Engineering Centre processes and procedures while engineering all products and projects.
  
• Perform detailed engineering of ESD systems, complex multi-well head control systems, and related equipment.
  
• Understand overall project technical scope and collaborate with Principal Engineer/Technical Authority on key technical points.
  
• Lead timely submission of engineering deliverables including drawings, datasheets, and BOM as per project schedule and SDRL compliance.
  
• Prepare and coordinate engineering deliverables, liaising with E&I, Design & Engineering teams as required.
  
• Monitor and guide detailed engineering activities to ensure project specifications and technical codes compliance.
  
• Participate actively in technical clarifications and obtain client approvals for designs and documents.
  
• Ensure consistency and quality of all engineering outputs.
  
• Prepare and maintain BOM as per contract specifications; manage uploading and releasing BOM in AX 12.
  
• Identify scope deviations or additional items and prepare techno-commercial details for variation orders via change management.
  
• Review all documents prior to client submission.
  
• Prepare Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) approval with team leads.
  
• Participate in HAZOP/HAZID studies on live projects where applicable.
  
• Review vendor technical details, clarify technical bid requirements, and support vendor evaluations.
  
• Collaborate with SCM to ensure BOM accuracy, timely purchase orders, and alignment with project needs.
  
• Provide remote technical support during fabrication, assembly, and internal testing stages.
  
• Support Production and Quality teams during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including scope verification and punch list preparation.
  
• Lead workload delegation, provide training, mentoring, feedback, and manage team performance.
  
• Maintain techno-commercial alignment and keep AX project modules updated with accurate data, project margins, and costs.
  
• Take full ownership of project delivery and achievement of project objectives.
  
• Lead by example in all matters related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
  
• Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by Line Management.

• 100% on-time project completion
  
• 100% project completion within budget
  
• Accurate and up-to-date AX and deliverables management at all times
  
• Drive and coordinate team efforts to achieve project milestones including invoicing, margin targets, and project close-out

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Engineering in EEE, E&I, Mechanical, Instrumentation
  

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in control product line engineering.
  
• Familiarity with Lean methodologies, ISO standards, and HSE requirements.
  
• Strong network of contacts within the Oil & Gas industry.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all professional levels.
  

Preferred:

• Experience with all Proserv product lines.
  
• Experience with Lean and Axapta (AX) tools.
