Your responsibilities will include setting up inbound/outbound file routing jobs in response to requests from internal and external business and technical teams. It will also involve configuring monitoring jobs, alerts, and notifications to ensure seamless operations. Collaborating with various groups is crucial to integrating security measures into all delivery jobs. Additionally, establishing FTP accounts and connectivity with brokers, vendors, and investment managers will be part of your role. You will utilize key file delivery tools and dashboards to proactively identify and address any issues promptly. Ensuring effective action is taken in response to file alerts and keeping the user community informed about file issues, delays, and ETAs are essential aspects of your job. You will be expected to escalate issues to management with clear recommendations and solutions, as well as devise ad-hoc solutions to facilitate file movement. Collaborating with other teams to streamline processes and drive initiatives aimed at improving quality and reducing manual work will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying abreast of Data Management policies, trends, and sharing relevant information with the team will be key. Overall, your role will involve supporting management in identifying process and system improvement initiatives. To thrive in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of MS SQL Server Administration experience. Exposure to the financial services industry or consulting within this sector is advantageous. Operational experience is highly desirable. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with expertise in querying databases using SQL. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required. You should demonstrate the ability to work effectively with internal and external clients, vendors, brokers, and build strong relationships with them. Simplifying complex concepts for various user groups, including technical and non-technical users, requires excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
