Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior ODI Developer with 3-6 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of robust ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c). You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ETL Development & Maintenance:
Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient and reliable ETL processes and mappings using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c).
Database Programming:
Write, optimize, and debug complex PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for data transformation and validation.
Data Integration:
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse source systems (e.g., Files, XML, APIs, other RDBMS) into the target data warehouse.
Collaboration & Requirements Analysis:
Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Production Support:
Monitor the execution of daily ETL jobs, proactively troubleshoot failures, and provide timely production support to ensure data integrity and availability.
Performance Tuning:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL workflows, SQL queries, and database structures to optimize overall system performance.
Quality Assurance:
Actively participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
Deployment & Documentation:
Support deployment activities and prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and operational runbooks.

Professional & Technical Skills

Mandatory:

Minimum 3 years of strong, hands-on experience in
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c)
.
Expertise in
Oracle SQL
and
PL/SQL
(procedures, functions, packages, triggers).
Solid understanding of
Data Warehousing concepts
(SCD, Star Schema, Snowflake),
Data Modeling
, and
RDBMS
principles.
Proven experience in performance tuning of ETL jobs and SQL queries.

Preferred:

Experience with other ETL tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Oracle Database versions (11g/12c/19c/21c).
Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Understanding of scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, or OEM.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
