Senior Node JS developer

Role Overview: As a Node.js Developer, you will be joining our team for a long-term opportunity with one of our leading banking clients in India. Your role will involve working on large-scale, mission-critical systems as part of the bank's digital transformation journey. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, contributing to the development of scalable and high-performance banking applications. Working in a fast-paced Agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across architecture, DevOps, security, and product management. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Node.js - Contribute to the development of scalable and high-performance banking applications - Work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams - Collaborate closely with teams across architecture, DevOps, security, and product management - Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization - Research and benchmark technology against other best-in-class technologies - Influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing deep knowledge and experience - Own and drive tasks independently, working collaboratively across teams - Interact with and present ideas to senior and executive management Qualifications Required: - Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience) - Minimum 10 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript, and Databases - At least 1 year hands-on experience in TypeScript - Hands-on experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring - Excellent knowledge in developing scalable and highly-available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies - Practical experience with GraphQL - Well-versed with CI/CD principles and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem - Understanding of containerization; experienced in Docker and Kubernetes - Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale - Understanding of Single-Sign-On or token-based authentication (REST, JWT, OAuth) - Expert knowledge of task/message queues including but not limited to: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka - Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing, and Documentation standards and practices - Experience in Banking, Financial, and Fintech domains in an enterprise environment preferred - Experience in Agile methodology - Excellent soft skills and interpersonal skills (Note: Any additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.),
