Senior Merchandiser [ Knitwear / Export Garment , Tirupur

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to lead product development, buyer communication, and end-to-end merchandising operations for our export garment business. This role requires a strong technical background, costing expertise, and proven ability to manage timelines (TNA) while ensuring high-quality execution. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between international buyers, production teams, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle product development from concept to bulk production, ensuring alignment with buyer requirements.
• Communicate directly with international buyers regarding sampling, approvals, costing, and order status.
• Prepare and analyze costing sheets and negotiate with suppliers/vendors for competitive pricing.
• Monitor order execution against TNA (Time & Action calendar), ensuring on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with production, fabric, trims, and quality teams for seamless operations.
• Conduct risk assessment on sampling, fabric quality, and production challenges.
• Manage documentation and approvals related to export processes.
• Provide technical inputs to the team and mentor junior merchandisers when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fashion Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in merchandising (knitwear/export garments preferred).
• Strong understanding of product development, costing, TNA, and export documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with international buyers and suppliers.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and team collaboration skills.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
