Senior Merchandiser (Apparels) - Knits

Roles & responsibilities

Work as team member in sourcing garments order, making a sample, price negotiation, price confirmation, order confirmation, coordinate sourcing fabrics-trims, and accessories, making of garments, packing and final shipments.

1. Internal & external communication- with buyers & with departments and vendors, from Order confirmation to shipment.

2. Co-ordinate various departments such as sourcing, sampling, production, quality assurance, and logistics for smooth execution and timely delivery of orders.

3. Prepare Time and Action (T&A) calendar, and daily up date

4. Sample approval- get the sample done from the product development department and get it approved from the buyer

5. Costing -Once all the required samples are made and approved.

6. On Time shipment track delivery date and send timely shipment

7. Sourcing- merchandiser deals with sourcing team for procurement of raw material in small factories even sourcing is done by the merchandiser.

8. Prepare BOM and enter the details in ERP as per BOM

9. Prepare production file includes approved details from buyer, tech pack, purchase order, and 10-parameter report.

10. Get approval from the buyer if any small change happens with the product or raw material or in trims and accessories.

11. Advising special precaution to be taken in production and quality department.

12. Organize meeting after approval of pre-production sample.

13. Take follow-up of running order and upcoming orders.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B Tech / Graduate / Post Graduate in NIFT or Fashion Technology
• 5-6 years of proven and relevant experience in a similar role.
• Exp should be in Garment/Apparel Industry preferably knits
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Candidates from Bangalore and immediate joiner preferred
