Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Reliability
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for mechanical equipment (conveyors, cranes, furnaces, rolling mills, compressors, pumps, etc.).
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure minimal downtime of critical steel plant equipment.
• Project & Design
• Assist in designing and installing new machinery, mechanical systems, and plant upgrades.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors for procurement and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Operations Support
• Monitor performance of production machinery and recommend improvements.
• Optimize energy consumption and reduce mechanical failures.
• Ensure smooth functioning of utilities like cooling systems, lubrication, and hydraulics.
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow and enforce safety protocols in line with steel plant standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure machinery complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and performance reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
