Role Overview: You have the opportunity to join bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) in Pune as a Senior Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer. In this role, you will provide deep expertise in mechanical and pipeline engineering to support Production & Operations (P&O) bp Solutions Site Projects Team. Key Responsibilities: - Provide static mechanical and pipeline engineering expertise to P&O bp Solutions Site Projects teams - Support in delivering static mechanical and pipeline engineering scopes in front-end loading stages and Detailed Engineering of projects - Review technical bid analysis of equipment and provide pipeline modelling - Assist in ensuring site technical queries, non-conformances, and concession requests are resolved during construction - Develop, oversee, assure, and plan the system integrity management system - Verify engineering contractor activities align with project schedules and assist in contract performance management - Apply bp Engineering Practices in engineering designs and provide expertise in project MoCs - Assure quality and consistency in static mechanical equipment, piping design, and fabrication - Record relevant learnings and support hazard identification and risk assessment processes - Mentor and coach earlier career engineers for their technical and professional development - Provide safety leadership in accordance with bp safety principles - Support performance management through relevant KPIs analysis for continuous improvement Qualification Required: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Chartered Engineer or registered professional engineer preferred - Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industry - Strong technical knowledge in engineering, maintenance, and operation of mechanical equipment - Experience in piping design, pipe stress calculations, and hydraulic simulation - Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical and rotating equipment - Previous experience in front-line pipeline roles and brownfield projects preferred - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively across levels Additional Company Details: At bp, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to finding sustainable solutions for the energy industry.
