Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electromechanical components. Your role will involve supporting the full lifecycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization. This includes tasks such as conceptualization, design, CAD modeling, development, and testing/validation. You will utilize CAD software like Creo and SolidWorks to create basic 3D models and drawings. Designing components using a variety of materials such as metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. Ensuring that documentation adheres to SEMI standards and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) will also be essential. Detailed analyses, including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid and gas flow dynamics, and manufacturability, will be conducted by you to accurately specify designs. You will develop and execute feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance. Additionally, preparing high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation during design reviews will be expected. Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturing solutions are of high quality, cost-effective, and compliant with requirements is crucial. Delivering key documents like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations will also be in your scope of work. In terms of leadership and training responsibilities, you will lead the technical team in mechanical design projects to ensure an efficient workflow and adherence to timelines. Your role will involve training and developing junior engineers to enhance their skills in design, analysis, and industry best practices. Organizing workshops or training sessions to promote continuous learning within the team will be part of your duties. Furthermore, encouraging innovation and fostering collaboration within the engineering team to achieve project goals will be essential. You will also serve as a point of escalation for technical challenges, providing solutions and strategies to overcome obstacles.,
