Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for mechanical systems. • Provide technical guidance in mechanical design, analysis, and integration of electromechanical systems. • Review drawings, models, and BOMs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with aerospace/defence standards. • Manage suppliers for sheet metal, hydraulics, gear systems, and precision components. • Ensure adherence to AS9100, MIL-STD, and other industry standards. • Oversee testing and validation of mechanical subsystems, including hydraulics, gearboxes, and pumps. • Lead and mentor junior engineers; coordinate cross-functional teams. • Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, and implement mitigation actions. • Communicate with stakeholders, prepare reports, and manage customer requirements. • Control project costs and optimize resource utilization.
