Summary of the Role

The Manager Research & Proposal Management will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of high-impact proposals aligned with social and climate impact goals. This role is vital to securing funding and partnerships that drive the organisation's mission. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, partners, and donors, ensuring proposal quality, consistency, and timely submission.What Success Looks Like

• Timely delivery of compelling, well-structured proposals that result in successful funding
• Effective management and growth of a skilled pool of freelance proposal writers
• Strong collaboration and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Continuous improvement and standardization of proposal management processes

Responsibilities

• Manage the full proposal development lifecycle, including budgeting, compliance, and submission deadlines
• Conduct thorough research on funding opportunities, donor landscapes, and policy trends
• Build and supervise a network of freelance proposal writers by thematic expertise
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and subject matter experts to ensure proposals align with programmatic goals and donor requirements
• Develop and maintain standardized proposal templates and best practice repositories
• Present proposals to clients and maintain strong client relationships during the proposal process
• Pitch proposals confidently to funders and stakeholders to convert proposals into successful funding partnerships
• Monitor and evaluate proposal strategies and success rates in collaboration with leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience in research and proposal management, preferably in social impact or climate sectors
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and presentation abilities
• Familiarity with international donors, philanthropic foundations, or research institutions
• Master's degree required for CSR-related projects; Ph.D. preferred for research-intensive roles
• Collaborative approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
