Senior Manager- Mechanical

Job Title:

Job Purpose:

Responsible for timely upkeep and maintenance of equipment without affecting production, ensuring compliance with EHS requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) reports for relevant equipment areas.
  
• Possess strong knowledge of reactors, RVD, ANF, blowers, ATFE, vacuum pumps, pumps, scrubbers, and other process equipment.
  
• Achieve a reduction in equipment breakdowns by 3% compared to the previous year.
  
• Prepare and analyze equipment breakdown reports.
  
• Identify and minimize repetitive equipment breakdowns.
  
• Identify critical spares and ensure availability for all equipment.
  
• Plan and control store inventory, targeting a 30% reduction compared to the previous year.
  
• Plan and manage the annual engineering budget effectively.
  
• Minimize maintenance expenditure year-over-year.
  
• Execute CAPEX projects after approvals.
  
• Drive improvement and development initiatives aimed at cost reduction and process improvement (minimum 5 initiatives annually).
  
• Enhance the integrity and performance of existing engineering systems through implementation of SOPs, Work Instructions, OCP, and checklists.
  
• Ensure completion of all safety-related tasks (USC/USA, CSC), Pragathi scheme, abnormalities, NDO points, and closure of pending issues.
  
• Monitor and conduct safety campaigns, cross-functional audits, and ensure timely compliances.
  
• Maintain zero safety incidents in the area of responsibility.
  
• Enforce safety precautions during all maintenance activities.
  
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules through SAP.
  
• Maintain and update Management of Change (MOC) documentation related to the area.
  
• Estimate, plan, and execute all MOC and internal modification jobs.
  
• Maintain and update all IMS related documents.
  
• Monitor daily logbooks of engineers and fitters.
  
• Approve and finalize internal and external service bills.
  
• Approve Receipt Gate Pass (RGP) materials and ensure quality of new materials.
  
• Provide and receive technical and safety training.
  
• Ensure statutory compliance across all engineering functions.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:

  B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience:

  Minimum 14 years in relevant field

Skills & Competencies:

• Equipment handling expertise with Reactors (SS & MSGL), vacuum systems
  
• Proficient in SAP, MS Office, and presentation tools
  
• Knowledge of IMS documentation, 5S system, CAPA analysis
  
• Ability to conduct technical comparisons and cost-benefit analysis
