About the Role :

Senior Manager - Learning (Sales)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment:

    Proactively collaborate with

    Sales Leadership

    and

    Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

    to conduct rigorous needs assessments, identifying critical skill and knowledge gaps within the sales team.
  • Strategy Development:

    Design and own the multi-year

    Sales Learning Strategy

    , ensuring all initiatives are directly aligned with organizational sales goals, revenue targets, and market changes.
  • KPI Management:

    Define, track, and report on key

    performance indicators (KPIs)

    to rigorously measure the ROI and effectiveness of all training programs, recommending and implementing data-driven adjustments.

II. Curriculum & Content Management

  • Curriculum Development:

    Lead the design, development, and continuous updating of a world-class sales curriculum. This includes creating high-impact training materials such as

    e-learning modules

    ,

    sales playbooks

    ,

    case studies

    ,

    presentations

    , and

    job aids

    .
  • Product Knowledge Expertise:

    Act as a central liaison between

    Product Development, Marketing, and Sales

    , ensuring the sales force is thoroughly

    expert

    in product features, benefits, competitive offerings, and market positioning.
  • Tools & Technology Enablement:

    Ensure the sales team is highly proficient in using critical

    sales enablement tools and software

    , including our

    CRM system (e.g., Salesforce)

    and other productivity platforms.

III. Training Delivery & Coaching

  • Training Delivery:

    Facilitate and manage the delivery of high-quality training sessions through a variety of engaging methods, including

    in-person workshops

    ,

    virtual training (webinars)

    , interactive

    role-playing exercises

    , and focused

    one-on-one coaching

    .
  • Onboarding Program Ownership:

    Create, manage, and continuously enhance the

    orientation program for new sales hires

    (Bootcamp), ensuring a rapid, smooth transition and accelerating their time-to-first-deal.
  • Ongoing Support:

    Provide

    continuous coaching and reinforcement

    to sales staff, translating training concepts into practical, real-world application to help them overcome complex sales challenges.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:

    Minimum of

    7+ years

    of progressive experience in Sales Training, Sales Enablement, or Learning and Development, with at least

    3 years in a leadership/managerial role

    .
  • Sales Expertise:

    Deep, demonstrated

    understanding of sales processes, methodologies

    (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Miller Heiman), and the full sales cycle.
  • Pedagogical Knowledge:

    Strong working knowledge of

    adult learning principles

    and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Communication & Coaching:

    Exceptional

    presentation, facilitation, communication, and coaching skills

    , with the ability to command a room and influence senior leaders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Proven ability to work

    cross-functionally

    and

    collaborate effectively

    with diverse departments (Sales, Product, Marketing, HR).
  • Analytical Acumen:

    Strong

    analytical skills

    to assess complex training needs, interpret performance data, and measure program effectiveness.
  • Organizational Skills:

    Excellent

    project management

    and

    organizational skills

    to manage multiple concurrent programs and deliver them on time and within budget.
  • Education:

    Bachelors degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field is a plus.
