Description
In this role at EY, you will be responsible for providing expert level data solutions using software to process, store, and serve data to others. You will test data quality, optimize data availability, and ensure that data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure. Your role will involve utilizing deep analytical skills on internal and external data, as well as leading, instructing, and mentoring newer Data Engineering crew. Key Responsibilities: - Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. - Troubleshoot software and processes for data consistency and integrity, integrating complex and large scale data from various sources for business partners to generate insights and make decisions. - Translate business specifications into design specifications and code, responsible for writing complex programs, ad hoc queries, and reports. - Partner with internal clients to understand business functions and informational needs, working closely with technical and data analytics experts to implement data solutions. - Lead all phases of solution development, explain technical considerations at related meetings, and assess data quality while testing code thoroughly for accuracy. - Educate and develop junior data engineers, apply quality control to their work, and contribute expertise to other data expert teams. Qualifications: - Minimum of ten years in data engineering, data analytics, programming, database administration, or data management experience. - Graduate degree (Bachelor's Degree, BCA, or Master's) or equivalent combination of training and experience. - Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Highly flexible and adaptable with a mindset of accountability, end-to-end ownership, and product mindset.
